In this context, the project Mind Academy is developed, a methodology of intervention aimed at combating social isolation by creating connections among its participants, fostering group socialization moments, facilitating positive and quality relationship, as well as creating a sense of belonging to the group and among the group. Weekly and on a rotating basis, activities such as Senior Dance, Cognitive Stimulation and Creative Activities are held for 50 minutes, led by highly skilled and specialized professionals in these areas.

In this context, the project Dar a conhecer + Abrantes is being developed, creating various itineraries through the different parishes of the municipality of Abrantes. These itineraries aim to highlight local traditions, knowledge, crafts, sites of historical interest, leisure areas in contact with nature and traditional dances.
These itineraries are intended for children and elderly people from the municipality of Abrantes, who will, throughout the year, explore the local identity of the various parishes and participate in workshops on traditional knowledge, such as rosettes, longing, hearts of palm, fried raisins, bowlfuls, cornbread cake, loom, forge, lime kilns and traditional dances.

In this initiative, the event Festival de Dança com todos e para todos (Dance Festival with everyone and for everyone) was developed, celebrating World Dance Day at the People’s House of São Miguel do Rio Torto.
During this celebration, various groups from the municipality of Abrantes performed, including the Senior Dance groups, Marina Dance Center, Companhia dos Alegres, Folkloric and Ethnographic Ranch of Casais Revelhos, Folklore Group of the People’s House of São Miguel). In the evening a folk dance ball was held in partnership with the Dancarém Association, where everyone had the opportunity to dance.
