Active, Digital and European Seniors

From June 2025 to November 2026, we implemented the Active, Digital and European Seniors project under the Erasmus+ programme, Key Action 1.

Learning has no age. Participation has no borders.

The Active, Digital and European Seniors project creates opportunities for learning and European exchange for older people and for our team.

Through group mobilities, training and job-shadowing activities in European organisations, we aim to promote digital inclusion, social participation and lifelong learning. We also want to explore different approaches to promoting active ageing and bring this knowledge back into the work we carry out in the community.

What we want to achieve

More digital skills: supporting participants in using digital tools to communicate, learn and access services.

More participation and stronger connections with Europe: discovering other cultures, exchanging experiences and strengthening a sense of European citizenship.

New learning opportunities: providing educational and intercultural experiences for people who do not always have access to these opportunities.

A more skilled team: learning about European methodologies and good practices that can improve Human Coop’s activities.

The project in action

Mobilities for older people;

Staff training;

Job shadowing;

Sharing with the community.

Participant selection

Participants in the group mobilities were selected by Human Coop according to criteria of transparency, fairness and inclusion.

The opportunities were shared with people taking part in Human Coop’s activities. The selection process considered participants’ motivation to engage in the preparation activities and the mobility itself, their attendance at the cooperative’s activities, and representation from the different territories where we work. Particular attention was also given to people with fewer opportunities, including those facing financial difficulties or with lower levels of education.

Before each mobility, participants received practical, cultural and linguistic preparation tailored to the planned activities and to their individual needs.
